SHINING KOALAS
The Koala is a marsupial bear living in Australia. It’s a small animal, tight, in length from 60 to 82 cm, koalas weigh from 5 to 16 kg. A day of sleep for 18 -22 hours, sitting somewhere on a branch, and at night climb trees in search of food.
The Koala eats the eucalyptus leaves, which not eats a limited number of animals due to the fact that it poisonous, and in a certain period they contain hydrocyanic acid. Bring the most benefits.
They sound like a creaking door or a thick snoring drunks, injured or frightened Koala cries like a baby.
Koalas in danger!!! According to some estimates, currently in the wild there are only two to eight thousand koalas. Over the last 10 years the population has decreased by 90 % ! This was due to destruction of habitat, attacks by dogs, as well as fires and road accidents.
Every year save more than 4, 000 koalas (survive only about 15 -20% of rescued animals). However, in order to save the Koala from extinction, and needed more financial support from non-governmental organizations.
A great example of such an Association — the Australian Koala Foundation, which devotes all its time and resources to mapping the habitat and conservation of this species as a whole.
Only together we can save the little ones and cute bears !!!
