Course Aims The Research Methods module introduces students to a range of quantitative and Course Aims The Research Methods module introduces students to a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods commonly used in the business studies. Students explore the appropriate use of different research methods according to subject and evaluate the reliability of data and the validity of the results of research.

Course Aims The primary aim of the module is to establish a basic understanding Course Aims The primary aim of the module is to establish a basic understanding of both quantitative and qualitative methods which will enable students to critically evaluate research as well as providing the main tools for students to be able to undertake their own research. The module seeks to stimulate an appreciation of the link between research methods, data and analysis and to demonstrate the importance of applying an appropriate method of data collection and analysis according to the nature of the research.
