NEAR-BARRIER NEUTRON TRANSFER IN REACTIONS WITH 3HE Naumenko M.A.1, Samarin V.V.1, Penionzhkevich Yu.E.1,2, Skobelev N.K.1 1 Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, JINR, Dubna, Russia; 2 National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI”, Moscow, Russia
Motivation Description of experimental data on formation of 44,46Sc in reaction 3He +45Sc and formation of 196,198Au in reaction 3He +197Au Test the transfer model on one of the simplest possible neutron transfer processes in the case of both medium-mass (45Sc) and heavy (197Au) targets Establish the basis for application of the model in more complicated cases including cluster transfer
Model basics Classical motion of cores Time-dependent Schrödinger equation to describe neutron transfer The initial wave function was determined from the shell model with parameters providing reasonable values of charge radii and neutron separation energy
Neutron levels of 45Sc, 3,4He and 46Sc obtained within the shell model 5/2 1/2 3/2
Time evolution of probability density of 3He neutron in the collision with 45Sc Neutron is predominantly transferred to 2p3/2 state
Probability and cross section of neutron transfer

Phys. 2013. V. 77. P. 795. Evaporation codes NRV http://nrv.jinr.ru PACE http://lise.nscl.msu.edu/pace4.html Fusion-evaporation contribution is at least comparable to transfer contribution
Formation cross sections of 46Sc and 44Sc in reaction 3He+45Sc Experimental data from N.K. Skobelev et al., Phys. Part. Nucl. Lett. 2013. V. 10. P. 410. N.K. Skobelev et al., Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. 2013. V. 77. P. 795. Evaporation codes NRV http://nrv.jinr.ru PACE http://lise.nscl.msu.edu/pace4.html Sum of transfer and fusion-evaporation contributions demonstrates satisfactory agreement with experimental data
Conclusions The results of the developed model for microscopic calculation of transfer probabilities and transfer cross sections within the time-dependent Schrödinger equation method demonstrate overall satisfactory agreement with experimental data The model may also be applied for calculation of cluster transfer and thus provide additional information on cluster structure of nuclei
