Population The population density is about 6 people per square km.
More than 130 nationalities (or ethnic groups) live in Kazakhstan. The main nationality is Kazakh – 63%, then Russian – 24 %, Uzbek – 3 %, Ukranian – 2 %, Uighur, Tatar and German – 1% each and other ethnicities – 5%.
Religion Kazakhstan is a secular state with freedom of religion being guaranteed by the Constitution. Islam is the primary religion. Kazakhstan is a multi-confessional country and there about 3 thousand religious groups.

Languages Kazakh is the official language. The Russian language is used officially as well in governmental organizations and local administration bodies along with the Kazakh language.

The National Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a piece of right-angled cloth of a sky-blue color with a picture of a golden sun with 32 rays in the center, sitting above a soaring steppe eagle. The flagstaff has a vertical line of national ornamentation. The picture of the sun, its rays, eagle and ornament are gold in color. The width/length ratio of the flag is 1: 2.
The National Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan The coat of arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted on June 4, 1992. The authors of the emblem are Zhandarbek Melibekov and Shota Ualikhanov. About 245 projects and 67 description designs of the future arms took part in the final competition.

The Caspian sea, the largest lake in the Kazakhstan. Besides this famous lake there are such lakes as the Balhash, the Issyck-Kul. The Aral sea is situated in Kazakhstan too.

Kazakhstan worries about the future of the Aral sea. In the north of Kazakhstan winters are very cold and summers are very hot, and there are more rains in the north and east of Kazakhstan, but in the south there almost no rains.

To be the patriot of the Native land is to carry Kazakhstan in your heart Patriotism is a special personal concept, but nevertheless it is considered to be love for the country. I consider that love for the country is similar to mother’s love to the child. Patriotism doesn't depend on race or nationality. In Kazakhstan live more than hundred nationalities and it does not mean at all that only Kazakhs can be patriots of Kazakhstan.
I am proud that my country managed to combine so many different cultures and traditions in itself. After all, we are «on a joint of the worlds» . I will remain the patriot of my native land Kazakhstan!
