The first commercial radio licenses are obtained in Sweden and Z-Radio goes on air. 1995 -Metro, the first freely distributed newspaper financed entirely by advertising, is launched by MTG in Stockholm. 1996 -MTG expands TV 3 into the Baltic states with the launch of TV 3 in Estonia.

Expansion with Viasat Explorer in Poland, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria follows. 2010 -Viasat Broadcasting becomes the first TV operator in Scandinavia to launch 3 D.
