History of a Holiday On February 14 we celebrate Valentine’s day. But why do we celebrate holiday of all adorers this day? A lot years ago St Valentine was persecuted as a Christian and interrogated by Roman Emperor Claudius II in person. Claudius was impressed by Valentine and had a discussion with him, attempting to get him to convert to Roman paganism in order to save his life. Valentine refused and tried to convert Claudius to Christianity instead. Because of this, he was executed. Before his execution, he is reported to have performed a miracle by healing the blind daughter of his jailer. On the evening before Valentine was to be executed, he would have written the first "valentine" card himself, addressed to a young girl variously identified as his beloved as the jailer's daughter whom he had befriended and healed. It was a note that read "From your Valentine. "

On Valentine's Day we think of those Who make our lives worthwhile, Those gracious, friendly people who We think of with a smile. Cupid is a god of desire and affection. There is belief that on Valentine’s day somebody can make a love wish. For example, if a girl loves some boy, but he doesn’t, Cupid will shoot into this boy with his love arrows. Then he will fall in love with she.

On Valentine’s day the main is to express you feelings. And that is what we want to do now. We love our group F-13, our classmates. Everybody is so different… Every student is special. Every student is friendly… We are the best! Oops!!

And of course we love our teacher, our teacher of English. . This woman is amazing! She always understands us, she is funny and cool!. . We like her teachings. . We like her jokes… She’s really perfect teacher!. . . Olga, be happy!. . You deserve it!. . . We love you! You’re the best!)
