Black Hawk Down — American drama war film shows the Battle of Mogadishu. This film won two Oscars for Best Film Editing. Plot. In Somalia was civil war. United Nations organized peacekeeping operation. In Somalia arrived peacekeepers from USA. They were United States Army Rangers, Delta Force, and 160 th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment). They like to capture Mohammed Farrah Aidid, self-proclaimed president of the country. The operation is launched and Delta Force successfully captures men.

UH-60 down After captures men US Rangers and Delta Force is surrounded. Somali insurgents shot down UH-60. It crashes in city. Pilots was death after down. Armed forces begin to converge on the crash site, but have heavy casualties. After a while was second helicopter shot down. One pilot was alive. To help him sent two solders. After a long shooting out of ammo. The solders was killed. Pilot was taken prisoner.

Meanwhile a small group went to help on the crash site second helicopter. They lost a lot of people in the battle and they have few ammo. They called help. In the evening came to help to the order and they return to base.

P. S. Results of the raid: 19 American soldiers were killed, with over 1, 000 Somalis dead. Pilot second’s UH-60 was released after 11 days of captivity. The End.

This is one of the best films that I watched about the war. In this film shows a very realistic military operations. More than this film is based on the book of the same name by Mark Bowden, which chronicles the events of the battle. Watch “ Black Hawk Down” is very interesting because atmosphere transferred is very realistic. This film have a nice soundtrack by Hanz Zimmer. It music complemented film.
