THE HISTORY OF HOCKEY The first hockey match was carried out on the skating rink “Victory” on March 3, 1875. Information about it was fixed in Montreal magazine «Montreal Gazette» . In 1877 some students of University Mc. Gill invented first seven hockey rules. The rubber puck was doing in 1879.
STANLEY’S CUP In 1893 the governor -general of Canada lord Frederik Arthur Stanley get a cup for 10 guineas for delivery to the champion of the country. So there was a legendary trophy – Stanley’s Cup.
FAMOUS CANADIAN ICE HOCKEY PLAYERS
Canadian national team is one of the strongest teams in the world. It’s 24 -fold world champion and 9 -fold Olympic champion.
It was a century since the birth of International Ice Hockey Federation in 2008. . .

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT HOCKEY After hat-trick fans throw headdresses on ice. In ice hockey use concept “natural hat-trick” – when player scored three goals in one match in a row.
MY OPINION I’d like to watch hockey, especially when Canada and Russia are meeting in match. Canadians play selflessly, purposefully. They are creating a lot of interesting combinations. People all over the world learn to play hockey from Canadians. This year on the Olympic Games in Sochi Canadians became Olympic champions.
