At present, rural tourism in Spain is growing rapidly. The demand for this kind of holiday is increasing every year, both on the part of foreign tourists, and on the part of the population. First of all rural tourism attracts those who, tired of the bustle of the city, machinery and tedious office work, I would like to relax in nature away from the traditional popular resorts, inherent noise and crowds. To date, the infrastructure of rural tourism in Spain has about 10, 000 establishments. Among them are small and big hotels — modest and with all the amenities (eg, saunas and swimming pools). Clients are provided not only food and lodging, but also additional services: familiarity with local traditions and folklore, sightseeing, hiking mountain hikes of varying difficulty with a guide, horse riding and donkey, mushroom picking, hunting and fishing. You can also get acquainted with agricultural production (growing fruit and vegetables, animal husbandry), winemaking skills, development of cheeses and sausages, participate in tastings, attend master classes, etc. We can say that rural tourism brings familiarity with the patriarchal way of life — many farms being old-fashioned. For our review, we selected five rural hotels in Spain, located in different regions of the country.

Vilafamés, Castellón (Comunidad Valenciana) Located in a renovated XVII century building in the heart of the town of Vilafamés, having the status of an object of artistic and historical value. Nearby is the area of the City Hall and the Museum of Modern Art. Adjacent to the hotel ancient fortress wall surrounding the town center. The building’s facade is made of natural stone, like the walls of the neighboring houses, all together they constitute a single architectural ensemble in the classical style.
