Moscow / 莫斯科
Moscow is a capital of Russia and also our hometown. ^_^ Last year we were celebrating an anniversary of our City. Moscow is 850 years old now!
Moscow is a major political, economic, cultural, and scientific center of Russia and Eastern Europe, as well as the largest city entirely on the European continent. Moscow is situated on the Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia, making it the world's most populated inland city.
The city is well known for its architecture, particularly its historic buildings such as Saint Basil's Cathedral with its brightly colored domes.
The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed , commonly known as Saint Basil's Cathedral, is a church in Red Square in Moscow, Russia. This building is now a museum. The building is shaped as a flame of a bonfire rising into the sky, a design that has no analogues in Russian architecture.
Red square/红场 is a city square (plaza) in Moscow, Russia.
It separates the Kremlin/ 克里姆林, the former royal citadel and currently the official residence of the President of Russia. Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow, because Moscow's major streets—which connect to Russia's major highways—originate from the square.
The Moscow Kremlin usually referred to as the Kremlin, is a fortified complex at the heart of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basil's Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and the Alexander Garden to the west.
The complex serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. 普京
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was born on the 7th of October, 1952. He has been the President of Russia since 7 May 2012. Putin previously served as President from 2000 to 2008, and as Prime Minister of Russia from 1999 to 2000 and again from 2008 to 2012.
Alexander Garden was one of the first urban public parks in Moscow, Russia. The park comprises three separate gardens, which stretch along all the length of the western Kremlin wall for 865 meters between the building of the Moscow Manege and the Kremlin.
Towards the main entrance to the park is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with an eternal flame brought from the Field of Mars in Leningrad. Created in 1967, it contains the body of a soldier who fell during the Great Patriotic War. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a war memorial, dedicated to the Soviet soldiers killed during World War II. It is located at the Kremlin Wall in the Alexander Garden in Moscow.
The Moscow Metro is one the most beautiful Subways in the world!

Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure is a central park in Moscow, named after Maxim Gorky. Gorky Park was opened in 1928. It is located at Krymsky Val and situated just across the Moskva River from Park Kultury Metro Station.
Gorky Park was created by the amalgamation of the extensive gardens of the old Golitsyn Hospital and the Neskuchny Palace and covers an area of 300 acres along the river.
Gorky Park has always reflected the spirit of time and social values. In the end of 20th century, concentration on sport, in best tradition of the Soviet era.
The time of amusement attractions, numerous small “shashlik” cafes, advertising banners and entrance-fee has begun. Nevertheless, the Park remained beloved by the people for its shadowed alleys. During the winter the footpaths flood over and freeze, which allows ice-skating around the park. Over the years the rides became decrepit, and the park territory was swamped with cheap attractions and cafes. New century brought new wind of change and the need to transform the Park’s concept.
Happy New Year! In Russia and the other 14 former republics of the Soviet Unio, the celebration of Novi God is greeted by fireworks and drinking champagne.
Because religion was suppressed in the Soviet Union the New Year holiday took on many attributes associated with Christmas in other countries, including Christmas trees, Ded Moroz (a variant of Santa Claus) and family celebrations with delicious food and gifts.
Ded Moroz
In Moscow, the president of Russia counts down the final seconds of the "old year". The Kremlin's landmark Spassky Clock Tower chimes in the new year and then the anthem starts.
Maslenitsa Maslenitsa is an Eastern Slavic religious and folk holiday.
This Holiday includes parties, secular music, dancing and other distractions from spiritual life, Maslenitsa represents the last chance to take part in social activities that are not appropriate during the more prayerful, sober and introspective Lenten season.
