 On the back side of the photo  the inscription was made by the hand On the back side of the photo the inscription was made by the hand of my great-grandmother: Kalinichev VM (Vasily Mikhailovich) Kalinicheva NM (Nina), Kalinichev IM (Ivan M. ). In this picture, there are children of Kalinichev family. They were brought up in severity, in accordance with the traditions of the Old Believers, the Cossacks themselves stitch boots and sewed clothes, kept cattle, ploughed land, planted orchards and gardens. People are still making up legends about the Kalinchev’ s gardens: seven types of pears can grow on one branch . . . In general, they were great workers.

After this event he worked on the farm as a foreman. Ivan Mikhailovich Kalinichev’s life was tragically ended in stormy night in May 13, 1954. He was returning home from work. Near the Jewish ravine, where during the occupation of the Nazis dozens of innocent people were shot, his horse frightened by thunder, crushed the rider and he fell into a ravine.

I am very proud of my great-grandfather who was so brave and was not afraid of all the difficulties of wartime. I will always remember my great-grandfather, proud of him and his courage. I want to thank him for my peaceful childhood.
